My 9/11 Post

last night I saw a pbs special on it. they showed some amatuer video of the towers after getting hit. the camera caught three people falling to their deaths. I want to say four but I can't believe that. I know it was more than two. one shot caught two falling at the same time. another shot had one falling, no editing that replayed one of those two falling, I was sure of that.

that right there hit me pretty hard as it haunted me in a way all those visions of the towers coming down never did. so many poeple were in there, but I processed those images differently. initially they shocked me from being so grand and terrible in scale, but in the end... they were towers. things. its like I didn't imagine people in them. maybe a small way in which my subconscious had me cope. I dunno.

on the otherside of things related to 9/11, I heard about a minute of the president's nation address. and that's all it took for him to put his foot in his mouth, still toting along his "neccesity" for the war in iraq.

he may understand what he got us into but the people, especially the poor saps who won him his second term, need to get angry over the fact that Bush jr had created another front in Iraq for AlQueda to fight us against.

but there's really nothing we can do about Jr now. he's won. he's already profited from this war, serving his two terms and walking away from this a man having achieved his goals. so since we can't punish him politically, its his party that MUST pay the price for his scheming.

to the american people who voted him into his 2nd term I say: you were fooled by this adminstration. you voted for him because he scared you into thinking that we couldn't change the guard during THEIR war on "terror." you made a huge mistake. but we can leave that mistake in the past having learned from it.

what you need to do now is help take the republicans out of power and give the Democrats the majority in the house and senate and see how it goes for a few terms. either that, or elect a Dem president. they cant fight the war on terror any worse that the Repubs have been doing. they can give the world some real assurance that we left our go-it-alone approach behind for some years to come until the Repubs come back into the majority. really now. look where that attitude got us.
