America: You Did The Right Thing

since Bush scared the nation into giving him a second term i've felt ashamed calling myself an American.

how can people believe that only this IDIOT can lead our country in the war on terror? how can the people vote for this IDIOT so long after knowing for certain that we would not find any WMDs in Iraq? how could the people forget that our ONLY mandate for invading Iraq was the presense of WMDs and that our administration had to be SURE that Saddam had them.

in other words, how could the American people be so incredibly GULLIBLE?

But last night shows how you... the American people... are starting to finally WAKE UP. you voted the Democrats to take the house, and a Democrat senate majority is pretty much in the bag. In the Virginia senator race between Allen & Webb, i do hope Allen calls for a recount. It's only fair after Gore did it in 2000. But the same result will ensue - with the votes for Webb having closed in on and then surpassing Allen's, there's no way Allen's votes will close that STILL widening gap. In Montana, Tester enjoys an even wider margin over Burns, but i think Burns calling for a recount won't happen there.

Last night makes up for you keeping the IDIOT as our president. but i dont feel it ends there. we still have two years to see what the democrats can do to keep a check on the idiot's hunger for power. After those two years, you... the American people... have another choice to make: it all depends on who we have in front of us running for the presidency. We can have two competant people contending for it. Or we can have one person competent enough running against another idiot. Or we can have two idiots, in which case pick the smarter of the two.

My point is... let's not repeat the mistake of giving another IDIOT the white house. We have a number of bright people from both sides of the political line.

learn about the REAL issues weighing on the national stage: education, economy, social security, healthcare, terrorism. leave God, guns & gays (as issues) out of national politics.

VOTE SMART!
