Wu Review

forever.

the wu have been so prolific this year. and not just putting out albums for the fuck of it. truthfully, I've never wrote off any wu project as an intentionally half ass effort even tho you may have believed it of the final product.

back in the present time: fishscale is great. u-god's 2nd lp, mr xcitment, had a lot of bad production (4 out of about 12 songs in my ipod) but lyrically he got so much better on it. inspectah deck put out resident patient (named after a sherlock holmes story) which arguably beats his first joint. then masta killa proves his consistency on his second album made in brooklyn. its that good.

method man comes out next week. hard to believe this one's only his third lp as a solo artist. I trust it'll prove better than his last one and as good as tical 2000 but without all the damned skits. reakwon out after that with rza all over it and some dr dre in there too.

I've always been proud to be a wu fan. they've proven their greatness many times. who more than them? outkast? yeah, but yould find yourself hard pressed to think of others unless they're underground cats.
